I absolutely love when I have past wedding clients come and see me for their maternity sessions! I mean seriously, what an honor to not only capture their first day as husband and wife, but again right before they welcome a new baby into the world. It’s so hard to believe that it has been almost FIVE years since I shot Alison and Jordan’s wedding back in May of 2014! And it made complete sense to go right back to the Causey Mansion Bed & Breakfast for their maternity session, which was where we took some photos of them on their wedding day!

When we first discovered this place, we asked the new owners if it would be okay if we could take some photos in their front yard. They warmly welcomed us in but had to show us the hidden boxwood gardens behind the house, and when we saw them we couldn’t believe it! Who knew they were hiding behind this big yellow house?! Now, the entire property is flourishing and blooming with life with a picture-perfect backdrop every where you can look.

Alison & Jordan’s session was a little extra special. Not only were we re-living some of the moments and memories from their wedding day, we were also celebrating the life of this little baby after years of struggling to conceive. After an unsuccessful first round of IVF they held on to hope and prayers, and round two was a success! I am so happy for these two who are so deserving of becoming parents. I am so honored that they chose me to capture this moment in their lives and I have no doubt the Causey Mansion Bed & Breakfast will forever hold a special place in their hearts.
